Alta Maria Vineyards has Exclusive Rows of Bien Nacido Chardonnay & Pinot Noir
Bien Nacido Vineyards are some of the most well-known vineyards in the world. 12 different grape varieties grow there and are famous for their ability to make high-quality, award-winning wines. It’s also the most-named vineyard across all branded labels in the world.
Alta Maria Vineyards is one of the wineries making award-winning Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from those grapes, and now you get to taste them in Los Olivos. They’ve just begun offering a new Heritage tasting of 6 reserve wines: Chardonnay & Pinot Noir from Bien Nacido Vineyards, also Carbonic (one of the only SB Pinots made by carbonic maceration), Reserva and Garey Pinot Noir as well as Native9 Pinot Noir.
Wine bloggers attending the conference here in Santa Barbara wine country will have an opportunity to taste these wines (and others) and meet winemaker Paul Wilkins on the afternoon of July 9, 2014, between 12 and 5. Bloggers should RSVP with firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you’ve never seen the vineyard, get a peek in Alta Maria’s latest video tour of Bien Nacido and other Santa Maria Vineyards below. The historic adobe on the property was built by ancestors of Alta Maria’s viticulturist James Ontiveros, who is a ninth-generation Californian (and the reason behind his Native9 label).
