Santa Barbara county is one of the world’s premier growing regions for Chardonnay & Pinot Noir. These are 2 of the main grapes in traditional Champagne. Lucky for us, there are more than 75 sparkling wine and California champagne producers trying their hand at it in Santa Maria, Los Alamos, and Santa Ynez Valleys. They are also trying it in Sta. Rita Hills and Lompoc, Los Olivos and the Santa Barbara (and Funk Zone) area.
